How we calculate
- Monthly is the ongoing monthly price: membership plus the estrogen you chose, plus progesterone if checked, plus follow-up visits spread over 12 months for clinics that charge per visit.
- First year adds one-time fees and, for per-visit clinics, the first visit plus your follow-ups.
- We use the lowest listed (“from” or “starting at”) price for each item. Your dose may cost more.
- When a company doesn’t publish a price, we show it as unknown and flag the total, instead of guessing.
- Prices are self-pay. Insurance can cover visits at Midi, Evernow and Gennev, and HSA/FSA cards work at most of these services.

Common questions
How much does HRT cost per month without insurance?
It depends on the form and where you get it. Among the services in this calculator, ongoing self-pay costs range from a generic pill filled at a cash pharmacy to well over $100 a month for some patches, before visit fees. Use the calculator to compare like for like.
Why are some prices unknown?
Some clinics bill insurance and don’t publish medication prices, and some don’t list every form. We only show prices printed on each company’s own site.
Is compounded HRT cheaper than FDA-approved HRT?
Not necessarily. Generic FDA-approved estradiol and progesterone can be inexpensive at a cash pharmacy, but you also pay for the visits to get the prescription. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved.
How often are these prices updated?
We re-check every listed price against each company’s site and show the date we last checked at the top of the calculator.
